About the Book

This book tells a story of an adventurous, quizzical Manitoba Métis´ recollective inquiries into modern Québéc literature in the light of three ideas as old as they are new - of "rebirth," "revolution" and "unity." All the incidents that Outridings recalls are severally funny - by turns highspirited, grim, sympathetic, ambiguous, critical and celebratory in their humour and almost invariably ironic in their effort to clarify, illuminate.
